During the ministerial water forum in Grenada, a UNESCO meeting on 13 October identified water-quality monitoring as a priority for building regional skills. Participants agreed on this direction; UNESCO will refine the scope and format with national focal points. [1]

The discussion connected data, risk analysis and training, including the combined use of satellite observations and field measurements to study water reservoirs. This does not announce a monitoring network already in operation: the reported outcome is a shared priority for subsequent work. [1]
