The United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, officially opened an office in Madrid on 9 October. Spain and the organisation also signed a strategic partnership framework for 2026–2029. [1]

Their joint work concerns development finance, poverty reduction, institutions, climate and the capacity to respond to crises. The office opening and agreement have happened; the effects of this cooperation in the places it serves remain goals to achieve and verify, not outcomes already certified by the announcement. [1]
