On 15 October, six institutions signed the Pisa Knowledge Alliance memorandum at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna: the University of Pisa, Sant’Anna, Scuola Normale Superiore, CNR, INFN and EGO. The agreement aims to coordinate research, education, innovation and public-facing initiatives while preserving each institution’s autonomy. [1]

Areas include attracting and exchanging talent, access to infrastructure, cultural programming and transferring knowledge to businesses and the local area. A framework agreement is due within six months, followed by implementing agreements. This is not a new university: a commitment to cooperation has been signed, with delivery still to be followed. [1]
