Work on the Via Santo Stefano walkway towards Porta alle Fonti in San Gimignano is complete. The municipality announces reopening for Saturday 24 October at 9:15 am. The path links the former San Domenico convent area with the medieval fountains and was damaged by a landslide in November 2019. [1]

The roughly €664,000 project covered stabilisation, paving, steps and drainage, with new railings, lighting, benches and a drinking fountain. The municipal notice published on 21 October and updated on 22 October records completion of the work. The ceremony and reopening announced for 24 October have not yet occurred at this edition’s deadline. [1]
